Terms of sale
The rules for buying from and selling to TheTechMart.
About these terms
These terms apply when you use thetechmart.co.za and buy from TheTechMart (Pty) Ltd. They do not limit your rights under the Consumer Protection Act or any other law.
Prices and stock
All prices are in South African rand (ZAR). Stock is limited. If a device is sold out or a price was wrong, we will tell you and you will not be charged. Pre-order devices are confirmed with you before dispatch.
Devices and photos
Devices are pre-owned and quality-checked, graded A to B. Where we show an indicative photo of a model, it is marked as not the exact unit.
Offers
An offer is a request. It becomes a sale only when we accept it and your payment is received. We can decline any offer.
Payment
Pay by Yoco (card) or EFT. Cash is accepted on collection or at a meetup only, never for courier delivery. A sale is final for us once payment has cleared.
Delivery, collection and meetups
Courier delivery by The Courier Guy is a flat R100 nationwide and takes about 2 days. Collection is R0 at North Riding / Kya Sands, with the exact location shared on WhatsApp. Meetups are on Saturdays and Sundays only, need at least 2 days' notice, and carry an R200 fee because they are a special request outside our normal sales process. The meetup fee cannot be cancelled or refunded once the device is with our sales agent.
Warranty and returns
Standard-price devices have a 3-month repair or replacement warranty. Negotiated devices have a 21-day replacement warranty. To log an issue, WhatsApp us on 071 662 3565 with a photo or video showing the problem. We send a reference number and an estimated resolution, and most issues are resolved within about 7 days.
Selling or trading in a device
Sending us photos and details is a request, not a sale. Any price we reply with depends on the device matching the description and photos you sent.
Referrals
You earn up to R300 for each referred purchase, once the buyer's payment has cleared and we have confirmed the sale. The amount depends on how much we discount the device: R300 on a full-price sale (or a very small discount), R200 on a small to medium discount, R150 on a larger discount, and R0 on a heavily discounted sale. We tell you the amount when we confirm the sale, and pay about 48 hours after we confirm. You cannot refer yourself, and we may decline a referral that does not look genuine.
